'Menie: TRUMPED' at Fix Photo Fest and Photo London / by Alicia Bruce

I'm excited to be bringing 'Menie: TRUMPED' to Fix Photo Festival during this year's Photo London.  My contribution, curated by Laura Noble includes several photographs of the environmental damage in Aberdeenshire during construction of Trump International Golf Links.  Central to the display is my portrait made in collaboration with Mike and Sheila Forbes who famously stood up to Trump.  This image visits London at the same time as it's inspiration 'American Gothic' by Grant Wood is on show at The Royal Academy.

Fix features artists from four continents - each with their own unique view of the world, including:

Zaklina Anderson, Susan Barnett, Richard Bram, Brittain Bright, Carlotta Cardana, Mike Crawford, Yvonne De Rosa, Giovanna Del Sarto, Elaine Duigenan, Jessa Fairbrother, Mischa Haller, Sandra Jordan, Grant Legassick, Holly Lynton,  Celine Marchbank, Christian Nilson, Robert D. Phillips, Kuriko Sano, Herb Schmitz, Einar Sira, Chris Steele-Perkins and Kevin Vucic-Shepherd.

I'll be around for the launch and will also be giving a talk and partaking in a panel discussion on Saturday 13 May 4 pm - 6 pm alongside Zaklina Anderson, Yvonne De Rosa, Elaine Duigenan, Jessa Fairbrother and Christian Nilson.  Tickets for the talks can be purchased here

Thank you to Street Level Photoworks and Tripping Up Trump for offering financial support towards the cost of bringing this project to Fix.

I hope to see you at Fix.
